Some submitted abstracts will be selected for oral presentation. Please register on the web site to make yourself available for oral or poster presentation selection.

The language of the conference is English, and all presentations, oral and poster, should be in English. Submissions for oral and poster presentation selection accepted and responded to from: September, 2008

* Workshops:

  • Places are strictly limited. Please submit your abstract with registration. **The POF Workshop has a maximum of 15 attendees, all of whom will present orally over the two days. The POF Workshop is by invitation only, and so "registration" indicates interest-only. You will be notified of acceptance. You will be notified by May 1, 2009 as to status in gaining a place.
  • mPOF attendees will be selected on the basis of abstract submitted, not all of whom will present. Maximum 35 attendees. You will be notified by May 1, 2009 as to status in gaining a place

ACCOMMODATION

There is no reserved hotel accommodation for POF 2009. Please see a reference list of suggested Hotels in the Darling Harbour area and close by.

Conditions of Registration

REGISTRATION INCLUDES

PAYMENT

  • Merchant facilities are provided by Magic Touch
  • All payments are to be received in full in AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS
  • Payment can be made on-line at eWay's secure, on-line payment site, or by cheque
  • Credit cards accepted are: Visa and MasterCard
  • On-line payment confirmation is by e-mail, sent by return
  • When paying by cheque, you will receive acknowledgement of payment when the deposit is cleared

Please retain your password details and registration number. Tax invoices are printed out over the net.

MTCi supports responsible use of on-line credit card transactions and reports suspected fraudulent activity to Federal police and the Immigration office.

CANCELLATION

  • Cancellations should be notified in writing to the Conference Secretariat.

REFUNDS

  • Cancellations received prior to June 12, 2009 will receive a full refund less an administration fee of AUD$100
  • No refunds are made after June 12, 2009

Substitute delegates: will be accepted - please notify Magic Touch in writing of changes.

ABSTRACTS/POSTER PRESENTATIONS

  • Abstracts are submitted on-line with registration. Please follow the instructions in the registration form.
  • Payment need not be made at the time of registration. Reminders are sent.
  • Closing dates etc. are listed on the website
TRAVEL AND VISA
  • All visitors to Australia require a Visa and current passport. Visa must be obtained in country of residence BEFORE entry to Australia
  • If eligible, electronic visas are quick and cost-effective. Check the visa section of the website
  • Please check with your travel agent for details and forms
  • With tighter security, longer processing times are required. Allow 2 months
  • Early booking of flights is advised, as flights to Australia do book out
ACCOMMODATION
  • Accommodation is booked by the delegate, directly with the Hotel. The Hotels page on the website contains a list of hotels in close proximity to Dockside, the conference venue.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Committee and Conference Organiser do not accept responsibility for loss of monies incurred by delay or cancellation of the meeting.

We advise all delegates to take out personal travel and health insurance.
